26 weeks for my next big race. I will be heading to
Ironman San Juan 70.3 because I had a blast last year; I feel I can improve my performance from last year with a few adjustments in training and is the day before my birthday so what better way to celebrate over there with good friends.
The plan is to get back on training the next 2 weeks work on my skills hit the gym and do strength training work on my running and swim technique. After those 2 weeks I will begin the Base phases 1, 2 and 3. During this phase I will throw out some bike TT in early October. A 10k run in November. A ½ marathon at Dallas the 1st weekend of December and a fun 8k Christmas run. As any training plan it will have some challenges. The main for this one will be the cold weather especially for the bike. Last Winter it’s was mild winter towards the end and I was lucky that the weekends were dry and mild including days of high 50’s. Lets hope it will be the same this year.
